04/ SPORA

(Exercise: Auxiliar desk)

(Tools: InDesign, Photoshop, Blender 4.2, Fusion 360, AutoCAD)

(4th year design)

(With: Blanca Aranda)

In a context where industrial waste is as relevant as the objects themselves,
the project explores how leftover marble, stone and porcelain materials
can be reused instead of discarded

+

Inspired by the growth of funji – especially wood-decay mushrooms – the design
translates organic, layered formation into a composition of stacked volumes that appear
to grow naturally

+

Recovered marble, stone and porcelain residues from industrial production
are combined to create a functional and expressive piece

=

SPORA: A contemporary side table that transforms industrial waste into
a sculptural object, combining functionality, sustainability and a strong
organic identity
